Code Of Ethics

Tarot Group Code Of Ethics

Tarot reading is a privilege and an honour, and is something we take very seriously.

We do not underestimate the trust our clients place in us when they send us their questions, and we are grateful for the exchange of trust which we enter into together.

This code of ethics sets out what you can expect from us when you purchase a certified tarot reading, and makes clear our boundaries and the ways in which we aim to protect both you and us.

Readings are given on the understanding that you are an adult with your own free will. We are therefore not responsible for any actions or events which may take place following your reading. Our readings are based on the firm belief that we choose our own paths in life and are responsible for our own actions. More power to you.

Readings will not be completed until payment has been made.

Readings will normally be received within one week of payment. However we are only human and sometimes life gets in the way. If your reader likely to be delayed, we will let you know.

We will not read for third parties. Please do not ask your reader to look into the heart or mind of anyone other than yourself – we strongly believe this to be unethical, and impossible.

We do not predict the future …though your reader may read about the path you are on and where it may be leading, we firmly believe that you are in charge of your own destiny and create your own life.

You are the expert in your own life. Your readers intentions in reading for a querent will always be to help them to arrive at their own conclusions, not to tell them what they should or shouldn’t do.

Our words are not ‘final’, but are intended as suggestions and prompts which you can interpret how you choose. We encourage you to listen to your own inner voice, confront anything that feels uncomfortable, and follow your intuition when processing the information in your tarot reading.

We will not encourage anyone to become dependent upon us. Your reader will use their judgement in deciding whether to do ‘repeat’ readings for querents (where a querent comes back again and again for tarot readings in a short space of time). As a general rule, if a querent requests more than two readings within a month, their reader will refuse to do further readings until a little more time has passed.

We will not give medical, legal or financial advice. We will refer querents to appropriate organisations where necessary.

We reserve the right to refuse any reading if we choose. In these cases a full refund will be given if payment has already been made. It is important that we are able to trust our instincts and make decisions about who we will read for and questions we will tackle.

We do not read for under-18s.
